The design by Ms. Alba Díez Terán has been declared the winner of the Poster Competition for the 2026 Santoña Carnival.
The image depicts Neptune’s Daughter emerging from the sea and holding Santoña, as a symbol of protection for the town and its Carnival. The composition incorporates representative elements of the town and the festival, such as the Juan de la Cosa Monument, the San Martín Fort, the San Antonio tent, and the turuta, placed at the center due to their close connection with the heart of the celebrations.
The poster also includes a reference to the Burning of the Besugo, all rendered in a colorful and festive style that reflects the essence and identity of the 2026 Santoña Carnival, recently designated a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
