We enclose the rules and the registration form for the Great Santoña Carnival Parade Contest 2022:

• FIRST: The registration of the GROUPS will be done in the Santoña Town Hall Registry (ground floor) from Wednesday, February 16 to Thursday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m.
• SECOND: For registration, the official form provided by this City Council will be used.
• THIRD: In order to register and participate in the contest, the group must have a minimum of 10 components.
• FOURTH: The groups participating in the contest must parade in it and may be accompanied by everything that makes the group more attractive (dolls, carts, accessories, floats, etc.)
• FIFTH: The Jury will be chosen by the President of the Department of Celebrations and will be located on the route at the height of the Brisas, a place where the participating groups will be able to perform if they want any choreography in that area in front of the jury.
• SIXTH:
  The prizes of the contest will be:
  - First Prize - 1000 euros + trophy
  - Second Prize - 500 euros + trophy
  - Third Prize - 300 euros + trophy
• SEVENTH:
  The deadline for submitting entries will be from February 16 to 24, with NO draw for the order of departure, which will be awarded in reverse order of registration. This means that the first to register will get number 1 and will be the last to parade (groups will start in reverse order, with group number 1 closing the parade). This year, exceptionally and due to COVID-19, registrations will not be allowed moments before the start of the parade, with the sole objective of avoiding unnecessary crowds at a specific point.
  Unregistered groups may parade but not participate in the contest. The groups that register last will be the ones that open the carnival parade.
• EIGHTH:
  The City Council will provide the number that each group will carry visibly on the route.
  The group that does not parade in its position and with the corresponding number will be disqualified.
  At the exit, the groups that do not participate in the contest and the rest of the people who want to parade down one of the lanes of O'Donnell Street will be placed, while the groups that participate in the contest and that are registered must be placed in the another lane for a better organization of the start. Groups that want to register at the last minute should go to the organization to provide their data and collect the starting number, with which they will be among the first to leave. (18h-18h30)
• NINTH:
  If a group has won a prize, it will NOT be eligible to win the Most Original Award.
• TENTH:
  Once the Grand Parade is over, the result and the delivery of the three prizes will be made public on the stage of the Plaza de San Antonio.
• ELEVENTH:
  The presentation to the Parade Contest will suppose the acceptance of these Bases.
