Once the registration period is over, 10 will be the murgas that will participate in the 2023 Santoña carnival murgas contest.

 In the adult modality, three registrations and one withdrawal with respect to the 2022 contest, the "Frágile" murga, the "Por fin juntos" murga and the "Los Maky's" murga return to the contest and we will have the withdrawal of the murga "Artists" that this year will not participate in the contest.

 In the children's modality there will be three murgas that will participate in the exhibition of children's murgas of the Carnival of Santoña 2023.

 This year two children's groups have dropped out compared to the previous year, they are the murga "Los Cartulina" and the murga  "Los Canallitas"
