Once Christmas is over, and without realizing it, there are only twenty-five days left to kick off our Carnival 2023 , with the Murgas Contest that begins on February 3.
And for this reason, we are going to announce the name of the Pregoneros 2023, and we say Pregoneros because in this case there are four carnival-goers, according to what they have sent us from the Department of Celebrations of the Santoña City Council.
These four murguistas and carnival-goers have been on stage since the first contest held in 1984 with their Murga "LOS GALIPOTEROS" and Lilis and Pedro have also been leading the children's Murga "LOS GALIS" for nine years, along with other colleagues. Therefore, 40 carnivals at the foot of the canyon, being a true example for all generations of murguistas and carnival fans.
RAMÓN BADIOLA "POTI" 
: Founding member of the Peña Los Ronceros and one of the promoters of the Carnival of Santoña in that first edition of 1981. He is the oldest murguista, who has been active since the beginning of the Carnival in our municipality. In 1983, he joined the Murga "LOS GALIPOTEROS", never missing a single event of our festival, be it parades, Murgas contest, Mourning Day, or Trasmerano Day.PAQUITO CABRERA 
: In 1981 he was already a member of the "ASANDECAHUSAN" Association, the Association of Humorous Floats of Santoña. In 1982, he participated for the first time as a murguista with "LOS TRONZACAMAS", which makes him the longest-serving murguista. Subsequently, he became part of the Peña Los Ronceros, as a musician, and joined the Murga "LOS GALIPOTEROS" in 1983, continuing to be active today, never having missed an appointment with the Concursonde Murgas, since it began. started in 1984.ANGEL SANCHEZ "LILIS" : He began his career in the Carnival by the hand of the Charanga Los Ronceros, joining the Murga "LOS GALIPOTEROS" in 1984, leading since then, together with Paquito, the musical line of the Murga, of which It continues to be part of 40 carnivals later, without missing a single year. He makes 9 editions, he begins his career in the Children's Murga "LOS GALIS", of which he is a guitarist.PEDRO NEPHEW : Its beginnings date back to 1979, when he joined La Banda de Cartón, and it was there where he lived his first carnivals. In 1983, he became part of the Peña Los Ronceros, creating La Murga "LOS GALIPOTEROS", of which he has been a lyricist and director for many years, and participating, to this day, actively in the Carnival from all its spheres. . Since then, in addition to being a lyricist and director, he has participated as a murguista, collaborator, extra, and for 9 years, he has been a lyricist and director of the children's Murga "LOS GALIS", helping the new generations to soak up what the Santoña Carnival, and they love it as much as he does.
These are the carnival fans who, according to the Department of Celebrations, deserve to be the Town Criers of our Carnival, in its 2023 edition.
